It's Friday night, I've had too much Vodka, and I've just seen the first trailer for V for Vendetta. I think the cross-dressing Wachowski's have decided not to suck. Good for them.
Based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore (Who hates every movie made about his comics… mostly because he's a looney. Seriously, have you seen the guy's picture? Wow… wacko) V for Vendetta is the story of an oppressive, facist, post-apocalyptic Britain and a guy who is basically… well… he's a terrorist isn't he? V (Mostly Hugo Weaving) is a guy committed to bringing down the Owelling like government, and gets Natalie Portman's head shaved in the process of doing it. No one is saying it, but it sounds a lot like terrorism to me. A terrorist hero? Bold choice in filmmaking. I bet no one will notice.
