It must be tough being the only successful Spice Girl. Of course, “successful” is a relative term considering, that Victoria Beckham’s mates do a whole lot of nothing when The Spice Girls aren’t reuniting. It makes one wonder if Beckham gets a lot of phone calls out of the blue from overly peppy girl archetypes asking for a few bucks to buy lunch or maybe a new Mercedes.
Apparently Beckham is so busy that she doesn’t even have time to voice a character in Madagascar 3. According to PopCrunch, the former pop star and current ultimate soccer mom turned down the chance to contribute her voice talent to the new sequel to the successful animated franchise. News just broke recently that she had been offered the part. I guess that was a bit premature.
Beckham instead plans to focus on her DVB clothing line. I think it’s kind of odd that Beckham “doesn’t have time” to a voice an animated character. I was under the impression that this was the easiest gig in show business. All you have to do is show up, read right from the script (no memorization required!), cash your check, and be on your way. DVD royalties will be in the mail. I guess free money isn’t all that appealing to the rich.
