If you’re one of the people who went nuts for Cronenberg’s last movie A History of Violence, then you’re probably fruit loopy for his next film Eastern Promises. He’s re-teaming with Viggo Mortensen for a crime thriller with Naomi Watts as a midwife in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The movie is supposed to be released this September, but so far we’ve almost seen nothing from it. In a recent montage of upcoming movies, Focus Features has slipped in a clip from Eastern Promises. If you’re willing to sit through footage from a lot of boring period dramas in the embedded video below, you’ll get to see Viggo holding a knife in ten or fifteen seconds of imagery from Easter Promises.
It’s hard to tell much from the very brief clip, but at least its something. Take a look:
