John C. Reilly really proved he has an amazing knack for outlandish comedy with his supporting role in Talladega Nights, and now he’s putting it to use starring in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. The first trailer for the film is out, and while the premise makes it sound like a pretty typical, rather awful parody movie there are so many incredibly talented, funny, and flat out cool people involved in the thing it’s just impossible to watch the trailer without getting excited about seeing it.
As the name suggests, the movie is basically a parody of the awesome Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line, but it also seems to have a lot of Talladega Nights inspired, original humor mixed in as well. This isn’t some cheap Wayans brothers parody knockoff.
