Warm Bodies Clips Include Zombie Rob Corddry To The Rescue

With Warm Bodies set to arrive in theaters in a little over two weeks, we're seeing more TV spots and clips recently, reminding us that Summit has this zombie rom-com on the way. Today we have two more clips, which share a common theme in showing the female lead's understandable wariness around zombies, even if they're trying to help her.

Based on Isaac Marion's novel, Warm Bodies is directed by Jonathan Levine and stars Nicholas Hoult as R, a zombie who has no recollection of who he was before he died but is self-aware enough at the start of the story to make the choice to save Julie (Teresa Palmer) rather than eat her. The clip below appears to take place not long after R rescues Julie. While he's determined not to be creepy (a challenging feat for a walking corpse), she's trying to figure out what he is, because zombies aren't usually quite as hospitable.

The "Don't be creepy" mantra was revealed in the original trailer but it still makes me laugh.

The second clip takes place a little bit later and has R and Julie on the run from a group of boneys, the zombies who don't have a shred of humanity left in them and are intent on stopping R and Julie. Fortunately R shows up at just the right time.

It's another great moment glimpsed in the trailer, but it's still great to see more of it here. It's also great to see Rob Corddry and his sense of humor put to good - albeit subtle - use.

Warm Bodies arrives in theaters February 1. More information, photos and videos can be found in our Blend Film Database.
