Warm Bodies Will Find A Heart On Blu-ray And DVD In June

Studios are busy trying to create young adult-oriented flicks that can bring the teen audience into the theater in droves post Twilight. This year, the fun Beautiful Creatures barely made a mark at the box office while the zombie flick Warm Bodies did somewhat better than expected. Another YA book-turned-movie, City of Bones, is set to make an appearance in theaters late this summer, but in the interim, you can catch its precurser, Warm Bodies, when it hits Blu-ray and DVD on June 4.

Warm Bodies stars Nicholas Hoult (the cute little kid from About A Boy who grew up to be Jack, the slayer of giants) as a long-sufferer of a disease that has turned him into a zombie. When he meets a young woman named Julie (Teresa Palmer), however, he finds out that his heart may not be as set in stone as he had previously believed. There’s plenty of humor in the film, as evidenced in the Blu-ray trailer, below.

Lionsgate company Summit Entertainment is bringing the flick into homes next month and has put together combo packs for both Blu-ray and DVD releases, with both copies coming with an additional digital copy and an Ultraviolet copy. Additionally, excited buyers will be able to purchase the flick via an early digital window beginning on May 14. Blu-ray copies will run for $39.99 and DVD copies will run for $29.95 and the best news is that they both seem to be coming with the same bonus features. You can pre-order the set over at Amazon, or check out the currently listed extras, below.
