Watch Our Exclusive New Clip From The Secret World Of Arrietty
When it comes to the world of animated films, few studios have produced as many brilliant titles as Studio Ghibli. Best known for producing movies like My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle and Ponyo, the Japanese company has been thrilling us with wonderful stories and characters for over 25 years now. Now their latest, The Secret World of Arrietty, is about to arrive in US theaters and today we have an exclusive clip to present for you.
As the title implies, the story follows a young Borrower named Arrietty, who stands only four inches tall. She and her family live under the floorboards of a household and they occasionally sneak out to borrow from the humans to make their home. Things become complicated, however, when Arrietty is discovered by the young boy living in the house. In the clip below, young Arrietty tries to convince her parents that she is trained well enough to go borrowing with her father, despite the fact that the house has a new “young bean.”
The directorial debut of director Hiromasa Yonebayashi, The Secret World of Arrietty features an amazing voice cast that includes Amy Poehler, Will Arnett, Carol Burnett, David Henrie and Bridget Mendler as Arrietty.
