Watch A New Trailer And Extended Clip From The Hockey Comedy Goon
There's no reason not to be excited for Goon at this point. First, its a comedy about hockey, a subgenre that has brought us the awesomeness that is Slap Shot, The Mighty Ducks, and Happy Gilmore (to an extent). Next, the script was written by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg, both of whom regularly prove themselves as two very funny guys. Then there's the cast, which includes great names like Seann William Scott, Liev Schreiber, Alison Pill, Eugene Levy, and Kim Coates. Lastly: it's a hockey comedy that largely focuses on characters beating the crap out of each other. What's not to love?
Keep that excitement going as the new trailer for Good has premiered online. Check it out below or in HD over on Apple.
Coincidentally, Hey You Guys! has also posted the first extended clip from the movie which you can see here.
In the film, Seann William Scott plays Doug Glatt, a bouncer who is seen by all of his friends and family as a black sheep. But when he gets into an altercation at a minor league hockey game, he's invited to try out for the team and that's where the madness truly begins. Goon is based on the book by Doug Smith and Adam Frattasio and the movie is directed by Michael Dowse. Look for it when it arrives OnDemand starting February 24, 2012 and see it in theaters starting March 30, 2012.
