Watch Viggo Mortensen As Freud In Video From The Dangerous Method Set
We have confirmation that yes, Viggo Mortensen can wear a false nose. Video has surfaced from the set of A Dangerous Method, the new movie from David Cronenberg, about the relationship between psychoanalysis forefathers Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Viggo Mortensen plays Freud and former Inglourious Basterd Michael Fassbender plays Jung.
In the two videos below you’ll see them shooting the movie in Vienna. Mostly this equates to a lot of actors wearing poofy dresses and tall hats. But you’ll get a good look at Viggo doing his Freud best in a beard and prosthetics, puffing away on a Freudian cigar. Take a look:
Kiera Knightley is in A Dangerous Method too, though she’s not to be seen anywhere in the above videos. The movie, which was once also known by the title The Talking Cure, doesn’t have a release date or, for that matter, an American distributor yet. But with Cronenberg directing and Mortensen starring, it’s hard to imagine the film not making it over to America at some point. Stick around. We’ll let you know when it’s done.
