Weekend Box Office

It was a dead heat this weekend. No pun intended....why lie, yeah it was. The two flicks that opened this weekend opened on the top of the list with Man on Fire appearing to be the winner by a sheer million bucks. My theory, people prefer listening to Dakota Fanning overly articulate than lusting after Jennifer Garner and her dimples. Ms. Kiddo’s tale of vengeance and Mr. Castle’s tale of punishment both got bumped off by the pissed off Denzel and Jennifer Garner (with her dimples), but they ain’t out. Disney’s (alleged) last 2D animated flick is holding strong while The Alamo has ironically been forgotten.

Why Cedric’s Vacation isn’t on video yet astounds me cough*coughRIPOFFcough*cough....excuse me....where was I? Ah yes. Ron Perlman’s latest effort under a boat load of make-up continues to battle with “the People’s Champion” as to who will drop off the top ten first. Ella seems to be clinging to the bottom with all it’s energy. Look for next week’s lump of four releases finally knock her off of her “Enchanted” pedestal as well as put out Denzel’s “Fire”. Two more weeks folks and the Summer season begins. Here’s this week’s Top 10 A.P. (After Passion)
