Weekend Box Office

Sorry for the little delay folks. Normally I have the Box Office Report up on Sundays...but I spent yesterday watching the Yankees lose and getting severely hammered afterwards in celebration of U.S.A.’s 228th birthday.

Movie time. Shrek 2 breached the $400 Mill mark and topped Spider-Man as the 5th highest grossing flick ever. Speaking of Spidey, the web-slinger swung his way into theatres early last week, and surprisingly didn’t pull in as much as the first did, but still did big business. Does that make it a disappointment? Who knows? It’s been a really odd summer so far. Michael Moore’s is still in the minds of some folks, even after last weeks effort and doubling the screen count, it still appears to be hanging in there and is now setting records with every penny it brings in. Documentaries don’t normally bring in huge amounts of cash......Fahrenheit 9/11 is proving that to be wrong. Anyways..Here’s this week’s Top Ten
