There was no budging penguins or spies this weekend as Happy Feet and Casino Royale held firmly to their number one and number two spots in the top ten respectively. Not that they had much competition.

The top contender among the newcomers this week was The Nativity Story which only managed fourth place with $8 million. The horror version of an Abercrombie & Fitch commercial, Turistas landed at eighth with $3.5 million and National Lampoon's latest disaster The Rise of Taj barely beat out Flushed Away for the bottom rung. At this point National Lampoon truly has hit bottom. Even if they brought back Chevy Chase to do a retirement community movie they couldn't do any worse.

Next weekend is a big one with Mel Gibson's Apocalypto raging into theaters. Nevermind whatever silly protests or boycotts certain groups or organizations may be preparing, this movie has a huge anticipation factor and looks poised to be the number one film, finally giving those penguins a run for their money. Romantic comedy The Holiday, comedy Unaccompanied Minors and Leo DiCaprio's Blood Diamond/i> will be struggling for the scraps.
