Weekend Box Office: Nothing Magical About Burt Wonderstone

Neither The Call nor The Incredible Burt Wonderstone saw much love from critics and audiences didn't offer much more support at the box office this weekend.

Both movies settled well behind Oz The Great and Powerful which held strong to the number one spot with $42 million. Oz soared past Identity Thief's as the highest grossing domestic movie of the year so far. It may not get to hold that title long, with a few potential blockbusters set to hit theaters in April, but most certainly having to surrender the title when Iron Man 3 arrives on May 3rd.

The Call took second place with $17 million, easily topping the less than magical Wonderstone and its unimpressive $10 million number three spot. The opening is one of the worst for Steve Carrell and a painfully low follow up to last year's financially mediocre Hope Springs and disappointing Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.
