What Borat Actually Did During The Never-Seen NSFW Porno Shoot Scene
Sacha Baron Cohen’s movie Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, which is the greatest movie title ever for a writer trying to make a word count, is full of the actor doing absolutely insane things in the guise of a completely lost foreigner. But there was one scene that ultimately was decided to be even too crazy for the film’s final cut. "Borat" joined in an actual pornographic film shoot.
Sacha Baron Cohen was a guest on Conan when he told the story of the scene that he really wanted to include in Borat but eventually decided to cut. Borat needed money and so he joined the cast of an adult film. In the scene, Borat played the room service guy who "accidently" walks in on a couple who are having sex. He’s supposed to join in, but instead he gets embarrassed and leaves the room. This infuriates the director, who then has to explain to him what’s supposed to happen. Then, Borat informs the director that he’s... unable to become aroused... by a clean shaven woman. Eventually, the director becomes so furious that he strikes a deal with Borat, which results in the most bizarre room service phone call in the history of the hospitality industry.
The scissors are in fact brought up and the hair is then applied to the porn star. The only thing that then gets Sacha Baron Cohen out of performing the scene is claiming that Borat has had syphilis multiple times. At that point the woman refuses to work with him.
This scene seems downright tame considering that one of the scenes that made it into Borat included the character wrestling with a fat man while both of them were naked. One has to wonder why the decision was made to cut it out. This actually sounds hilarious, and I am not a fan of Borat, generally speaking. Although, it’s very possible that listening to Sacha Baron Cohen talk about the scene may be funnier than the scene itself. See what you think.
Sacha Baron Cohen will next be seen playing a character he did not create in The Brothers Grimsby. It promises to be another film full of Cohen taking things to the extreme. It opens everywhere on March 11.
