Witness The First Real Look At Captain America's The Red Skull
Like many of you, I found myself three inches away from my television a few Sundays back when the first trailer for Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger was aired during the Super Bowl. Though the trailer had many awesome moments, none were greater than the first look at the film's main villain, The Red Skull. Sadly, however, it was an extremely short shot and thanks to the angle of his head, it was hard to get a clear idea of exactly what he will look like. Now we know.
EW has premiered the first full, official shot of The Red Skull and I must say that it looks absolutely incredible. The mask looks like it has been ripped straight out of the comics, and not like some stupid Halloween mask. It actually looks like a skull. Even better, you can tell that it's Hugo Weaving under there just by looking at the eyes. While we won't know exactly how the movie will turn out until July, at least we can be sure that Captain America will have a seriously cool looking villain.
