When The X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer May Finally Drop
Ever since we heard news of the X-Men: Apocalypse footage from San Diego Comic-Con, we’ve been waiting to see the action for ourselves. We’ve gotten glimpses of some of the new characters that will be introduced in the latest installation to the X-Men franchise, and despite some of the negative reaction to a certain purple mutant, we still can’t wait to see what Apocalypse will be bringing to the table come 2016. Well now, rumor has it that the trailer is coming pretty darn soon.
The news of the rumored trailer drop comes from Heroic Hollywood, who is claiming we may see the highly-anticipated footage along with Ridley Scott’s The Martian coming out next month. That October 2nd release date for the Matt Damon space drama is said to have the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer attached, and if that is the case, that also means the trailer will most likely drop the same day (or around October 2nd) online.
There’s been a good amount of speculation on the subject, but Heroic Hollywood has been told by multiple sources that the first trailer for the film will be coming that week. While we have to take this info with a grain of salt, it is the first we’ve heard about the trailer in a long while, so there is hope. Plus, with the anticipation for Ridley Scott’s science fiction film on the rise since its premiere at Toronto Film Film Festival, it’d be the perfect opportunity for Fox to drop footage for Bryan Singer’s superhero epic.
There are still a number of questions we want answered on what’s going to be going on in X-Men: Apocalypse. Bryan Singer’s fourth X-Men title will flash forward from the 70s timeline in Days of Future Past to the 80s where we will see the introduction of a young Storm, Jean Grey, Cyclops and more. There are a few of the classic members returning, James McAvoy’s Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique, Nicholas Hoult’s Beast and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, but it is the new mutants we are most excited to see in action, and get a peek into their histories. Plus with the critically-acclaimed Oscar Isaac attached to Apocalypse, even if he looks Ivan Ooze from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, we are still curious to see what kind of depth this character takes.
And with this new time period being heavily teased, this trailer can give us a good look into what the 80s life of a mutant is all about. X-Men: Apocalypse will be hitting the full screen in its full feature on May 27, 2016, but since we’ve got a long while to wait, we are currently just counting down the days until that first trailer finally drops.
