X-Men: Days Of Future Past Adds Game Of Thrones' Peter Dinklage
Every actor that has been confirmed for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past thus far has previously played a role in the franchise. As a direct sequel to First Class the movie is set to feature the return of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, but even original trilogy actors like Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore and Ellen Page are getting in on the fun.
But you can't make a superhero sequel featuring only actors who were in the previous movies - you need fresh blood. And Peter Dinklage will be the one providing it. While details at this time are limited, Singer has taken to his Twitter account to announce that the Game of Thrones star has officially signed on for Days of Future Past. The message doesn't provide any hint as to who he may play, simply reading, "Officially like to welcome #PeterDinklage from #GameOfThrones to #XMEN #DaysofFuturePast Very very excited!"
This has been a rather big day for X-Men fans, as Singer has been doing press rounds for Jack The Giant Slayer, which is out next month. Earlier today we learned from the director himself both that the latest sequel will be filmed in 3D and what he has planned in terms of themes. You can read all about that HERE.
Getting back to the potential Dinklage casting, who do you think he could end up playing? Given the way the filmmakers behind the franchise have been known to mix-and-match mutants with existing storylines from the comics it's hard to exactly predict who Singer could be bringing in for Days of Future Past.
