X-Men: Days Of Future Past Set Photo Shows Off A Pivotal Moment In The Oval Office
There are probably hundreds of incredibly important moments that take place in the Oval Office at the White House, but could this be what it looks like when the President of the United States begins a chain of events that eventually allows the mutant-hunting Sentinels to track down and kill all of Homo sapien superior kind?
The above image is the latest to arrive from director Bryan Singer's Twitter Feed, showing off the long production process of making X-Men: Days of Future Past. The picture came with the message "Pivotal meeting #Xmen #DaysOfFuturePast." It's hard to say exactly what's going on in this shot and the resolution of the photo isn't great, but am I the only one that thinks that looks like President Richard Nixon sitting in the chair at the desk? It would definitely make sense given the part of the plot's early 1970s setting.
Based on the classic comic arc, X-Men: Days of Future Past begins in an apocalyptic future where the aforementioned Sentinels have nearly wiped out all of the mutants. Hoping that they can change the future and save their friends' lives, the surviving X-Men team up to send one of their own back in time to stop a key event from occurring. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore, Booboo Stewart and Fan Bing Bing star in the film, which will be in theaters on July 18, 2014.
