New Year's Eve Poster Replaces Creativity With Star Appeal
It's a marketing department's wet dream to have a cast filled with nothing but stars. When it comes to poster design there's nothing that they love more than posting a series of floating heads. There is, however, a point where you have too many stars. After all, there's only so much room available to stick celebrity faces. So what's the solution? An ordinary character grid, of course, and that's exactly what the folks behind New Year's Eve have done on their newest one-sheet.
Warner Bros. has sent over the new poster which you can check out below. Be sure to click on it to see the artwork full size.
You want to know the saddest thing about this poster? That's not even every member of the cast. Missing are Carla Gugino, Alyssa Milano, Ice Cube, Ryan Seacrest, Sarah Paxton, John Lithgow and many more. Like I said, though, there's only so much room.
A semi-sequel to last year's Valentine's Day, Garry Marshall's New Year's Eve tells a variety of interconnected stories that all take place on New Year's Eve in New York City. Thew movie is set to bow on December 9th and to learn more about it be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
