She’s been a stunt woman for Xena: Warrior Princess and “The Bride” (Kill Bill). She’s even played herself in Death Proof. Now Zoe Bell will finally get a chance at acting instead of just doing stunts for someone else. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the stunt woman has signed on for her first leading role in an untitled action flick coming from Marco Weber’s Senator Entertainment.
The role sounds like a female version of something The Rock might be offered. Bell will play a U.S. Soldier who returns home from Iraq and helps a young girl in trouble. No telling what form that help will take, but I’m sure it’ll involve kicking some kind of ass and showing off just how American this soldier is.
Regardless of how clichéd the role may be, it’s guaranteed to offer some challenges to the new actress. The New Zealander will have to invest some time in a convincing American accent for one. Still, there are some things Bell seems pretty certain of: ”one thing is certain: I will be doing all my own stunts on the film."
