Ben Affleck Reveals Details On Batman’s New Suit In Justice League
In a world that seems to be full of comic book heroes in both TV and film, there are certain characters that remain top dog in the sea of super powered individuals. And despite how you feel about the DC Extended Universe, you can't deny one thing: Batman is one captivating and badass character. Batman is truly iconic, and one of the things that makes him so damn cool are all of his wonderful toys, including his awesome costumes. While most Batman movies have the hero in one costume, Ben Affleck's most recent go as the Dark Knight has a variety of Batsuits at his disposal. A brand new one just made headlines when Zack Snyder shared an image from the set of Justice League, and fans went gaga. But what can we expect from Batman's tactical suit?
Ben Affleck recently sat down with Mario Lopez at Extra in order to publicize his upcoming film The Accountant. The conversation eventually turned to his work as Batman, where he revealed a bit about the new tactical Batsuit.
Well, there we go. Once again, Zack Snyder is providing fans with two separate Batsuits to feast our eyes on during Justice League. You hear that sound? It's fanboys everywhere cheering.
Batman's multitude of costumes marks a first for big screen versions of the hero. While the comics and various animated versions of Batman usually have an entire wall of suits to chose from, movies generally fit the actor playing Bruce into one costume, and just keep it consistent. But true diehard fans of the Dark Knight know that he should have a ton of costumes in the Batcave, each with different functionality. One may be super strong armor, like the one seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, one to help him dive and breathe under water, one resistant to Poison Ivy's pheromones- you name it, Bats made it.
But what exactly is Batman's tactical suit going to do in Justice League? My guess is some serious detective work. While known as the World's Greatest Detective, we didn't get a ton of sleuthing from Ben Affleck's first go as Bruce Wayne in Dawn of Justice. So perhaps the tactical suit will allow the Dark Knight to sneak around easier, and ensure that he has enough flexibility to get in and out of tricky situations. This would be a stark transition to his bulky armor from Batman v Superman, and would show a different side to the hero.
Of course, we'll just have to wait until Justice League gets closer for any concrete answers. The superhero team up directed by Zack Snyder will fly into theaters on November 17th, 2017.
