The Guardians Of The Galaxy Character Who May Have A Major Role In Avengers: Infinity War
With so many different characters in the MCU, and the big Avengers: Infinity War crossover event on the way, the question isn't so much, will your favorite character be involved? Rather, the question is, with so many characters to balance, how involved will they be? We have to assume that with so much going on, some of our MCU favorites will be supporting players only, however, it looks like one Guardians of the Galaxy member could be taking center stage in the new film. A new rumor says that Star-Lord will be a significant part of the third Avengers film.
While details are scarce (read: non-existant) and things could change because the scripts are reportedly still not finalized, Schmoes Know is reporting that the current version of the Avengers: Infinity War script contains lots for Chris Pratt's Peter Quill to do. He will be the first of the Guardians of the Galaxy characters to make an appearance and his role in the film is apparently sizable.
Needless to say, there's a lot of "vague" in this rumor. Whatever the source is (there's isn't even a hint of where it came from) there are no additional details that might help support it. We don't know if the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy are in the film or not. We don't know if Star-Lord is in the movie because The Avengers end up in outer space, or because Peter Quill decides to come home to Earth. While the source may be a reliable one, this fact, that Star-Lord has a large role, was apparently the only detail provided.
Having said that, the idea that Peter Quill could be a major character in Avengers: Infinity War certainly wouldn't be a huge surprise. As it currently stands the MCU exists with two separate worlds, the "outer space" world of Guardians of the Galaxy has been kept separate from the world of Earth that the Avengers, and everybody else, currently inhabits. With Chris Pratt playing the lone character who lives in outer space, but is also human, it makes perfect sense that he would be the character that bridges the two worlds together and introduces one to the other. Since Thanos is more of a cosmic villain, and the Avengers don't even actually know that he's out there at the moment, Peter Quill could be the one that tells them.
As fans of Star-Lord, and Chris Pratt, we certainly don't have a problem with him having a major part of Avengers: Infinity War. At this point, we can't wait to see him again in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Who do you hope that Avengers: Infinity War spotlights among all the heroes they have to choose from? let us know in the comments below.
