New Fifty Shades Darker Footage Delivers Shower Sex And Gunplay
The Fifty Shades of Grey series has become a household name over the course of the last few years, and the first film in the franchise proved that the smut could definitely transfer over to the silver screen. After all, sex sells; never let anyone tell you otherwise. With the premiere of Fifty Shades Darker next month, the franchise will soon double down on the sexy drama. A brand new TV spot for Fifty Shades Darker has officially debuted online, and it has pretty much everything fans of the series could hope for. Check it out below to see for yourself.
Let's get one thing out of the way before we take this any further: the Fifty Shades franchise is very obviously not for everyone. Some people absolutely love it, while some people absolutely loathe it. That being said, that TV spot pretty much promises everything fans have come to know, love, and expect from this universe. There's sex (lots of it, some of which takes place in a shower), there's intrigue and there's just a hint of danger to top it all off.
With the release of the film drawing near, the promotional campaign for Fifty Shades Darker has really started to flesh out the plot of the movie for audiences. The overarching premise of the film sees Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) returning to Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and pleading to continue their relationship as a genuine romance, and not just as a torrid love affair. The two reunite and begin a seemingly healthy relationship, but demons from Grey's past soon emerge that threaten their love, as well as their safety. Oh, and did I mention that there's a steamy shower sex scene? I did? Okay, I just wanted to make sure that did not go unnoticed in the shuffle.
To call the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise anything less than a phenomenon would be a complete disservice to its fan base. Author E.L. James wrote four books (three from the point of view of Anastasia Steele, and one from the point of view of Christian Grey) and the first book went on to become the fastest selling paperback of all time in 2012, even outperforming the Harry Potter series. The big screen release of Fifty Shades of Grey saw similar success, as it went on to become one of the highest grossing R-rated movies of all time, as well as the highest grossing February film release of its time -- until Deadpool hit theaters one year later.
Make sure to stay tuned for all of the latest, greatest and steamiest details related to the upcoming release of Fifty Shades Darker. The sequel will debut in theaters on February 10, 2017, just in time for Valentine's Day weekend.
