New XXX: Return Of Xander Cage Featurette Shows Off Stunt-Centric Vinsanity
Vin Diesel sure likes to keep busy, not only with the volume of his projects, but also with the intensity of the work he puts into any specific effort. For instance, the stunts he's getting into in order to revive the xXx franchise are probably the biggest and most exciting he's put onto film. In fact, the man himself has coined a term for what he's aiming to bring to the screen with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage: "Vinsanity." Yes, it's an actual term, and it's explained rather well in the video below.
Paramount Pictures' YouTube channel deployed this latest look at the D.J. Caruso directed sequel to the Vin Diesel originated franchise, and it's as practical as it can get. Obviously, there are more than likely some moments from xXx: The Return of Xander Cage that even Diesel himself wouldn't be able to carry out, like skiing off of a cell tower, or skateboarding against a moving bus, Yet there are plenty of practical stunts that Vin looks to be executing himself, as we still see plenty of moments testifying to his stunt executing prowess. All thanks to his insatiable thirst for thrills and spills that the audience can rave about.
While the Fast and Furious films are certainly action packed, a lot of the stunts involved in those films are more centered around hand to hand combat and driving prowess. Obviously Vin Diesel is extremely comfortable with those sort of action, as he's made five consecutive films in that series, and has at least two more in his future. So obviously, his work in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage benefits from all of the experience he's gained through almost a decade's worth of practice. Vin's certainly living the live of Xander Cage, but how can you, the action enthusiast, do your part to engage in the "Vinsanity?"
It's pretty easy actually, as you can get advice from Xander Cage himself, all thanks to Facebook Messenger! All you have to do is either follow this link, or scan the photo below with your mobile Messenger app, and you can chat with a bot that will dispense pearls of knowledge, such as "If at first you don't succeed, that means you're not finished with your journey." Pretty deep stuff coming from the man who's about to save the world all over again.
xXx: The Return of Xander Cage goes Vinsane on the world on January 20, 2017.
