Why We Might Actually Feel Sympathy For Nebula In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
Admit it, you're counting down the months, weeks, and days until Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is finally in cinemas. Don't feel self-conscious. We all are. That's why any information regarding the blockbuster and how it will be different and expand beyond its 2014 predecessor is instantly devoured by fans. Karen Gillan is the latest cast member to discuss her return in the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel, and she's now teased that we'll learn a little more about Nebula's relationship with both her father Thanos and her sister Gamora.
Karen Gillan made this suggestion during her discussion with The Wrap, while at the same time revealing that the exploration of this sensitive subject matter will actually make you feel a tinge of sympathy towards the villain. Karen Gillan explained,
I can't say that I'm shocked to learn that Thanos isn't the best of fathers. He doesn't really seem like the caring kind. Of course, the last time that we saw Nebula at the end of Guardians Of The Galaxy, she was walking away from the wreckage in Xandar in a rather agitated manner, which suggested that she was already planning out how to gain revenge on Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and his loveable posse.
Karen Gillan's comments also made it clear that the Scottish actress and former Doctor Who star will be sharing some heavy interchanges with both Josh Brolin and Zoe Saldana, who will reprise their characters of Thanos and Gamora, in the coming years, be it in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 or Avengers: Infinity War. As far as Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is concerned, Saldana, Gillan and Pratt are just three members of the outstanding cast, which also includes Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Glenn Close, Kurt Russell, Sylvester Stallone, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper. You can briefly rekindle your love for the Guardians Of The Galaxy gang by taking a look at the trailer for Vol. 2 below.
That's just all kinds of glorious. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will finally be with us on May 5, while it has been heavily speculated that most of the gang are due to return in Avengers: Infinity War when it's released exactly 12 months later on May 4, 2018.
