Caliban Looks Like A Total Badass In New Logan Image

By now you are probably already geared up and ready to watch Hugh Jackman don the muttonchops and adamantium claws one last time. We cannot say that we blame you; Logan looks absolutely amazing. The final Wolverine movie will see everyone's favorite X-Man backed into a corner, but he will not be alone. Logan and Charles Xavier will have the help of Stephen Merchant's Caliban on their mission to save X-23, and a new photo of the mysterious mutant has officially debuted online. Check it out below to see for yourself.

The official Logan Instagram account has become an insanely reliable source for all sorts of badass updates on the upcoming X-Men solo movie, and this photo is one of the coolest yet. The picture in question shows a wide shot of Stephen Merchant's Caliban standing ominously in what looks like a beat up and worn down shack. We are not quite sure what he is actually doing in there (the setting lines up with a ton of other locales in Logan) but we have a feeling that he is about to engage in some excellent mutant action. Honestly, I do not know if I can get more excited for Logan at this point; I have peaked.

Based upon everything that we have heard about Logan so far, it sounds like Caliban will be an ally for Wolverine, X-23, and Charles Xavier. As mutants will be increasingly rare during the events of Logan, it seems that every single one of them will have to band together in order to resist the oppression of Donald Pierce and his Reavers.

Caliban's particular set of powers will no doubt prove invaluable to Logan and Professor X on their journey. He has the ability to track and trace mutants across great distances, which means he the distinct ability to tell them whether or not a friend or a foe is somewhere off in the distance. Of course, Logan already looks like a seriously bloody affair, so whether or not he will survive to help them throughout the entirety of the movie remains to be seen. That said, we cannot contain our excitement for what's coming.

As always, CinemaBlend will provide you with all of the latest and greatest Logan updates as more information about the upcoming Wolverine solo movie becomes available to us. The film will hack and slash its way into theaters on March 3, 2017.

Still not convinced that Logan is going to be one of the coolest and most entertaining comic book movies of 2017? Take a look at the recent red band trailer for the upcoming Wolverine adventure on the next page for an even closer look at Hugh Jackman's final outing with the claws!
