Will Logan Feature Wolverine’s Signature Suit? Hugh Jackman May Have Dropped A Hint
A ton of superhero movies are currently set to hit theaters this year, and while many of them will introduce us to brand new worlds and characters, one will specifically serve as a somber good-bye. Hugh Jackman is set to finally retire from his role as Wolverine when Logan debuts in March, and as such, it seems that the film will be jam packed with a fantastic amount of fan service. One aspect of the character that fans have clamored to see on the silver screen for years is the iconic yellow suit, and Jackman's recent tweet leads us to believe that we may see him wear the legendary outfit for the very first time. Check out the tweet below:
That's right, folks. Hugh Jackman has officially tweeted out a photo of Wolverine wearing the original yellow X-Men suit (albeit in action figure form), and it has us genuinely wondering whether or not we will see his version of Wolverine suit up properly for the very first time. Jackman has worn plenty of iconic costumes over the years, but nothing comes close to the original.
Logistically it seems to make quite a bit of sense for a Wolverine to suit up in his classic yellow duds at some point during the events of Logan. The film thematically is very closely tied to Wolverine's history with the X-Men, and the recent trailers have made it clear that the adventures of the X-Men have become widely publicized and dramatized in comic books. There has been no concrete confirmation that the film will feature flashbacks to the "good old' days" in Wolverine's career, but if it does we can reasonably expect to see the classic suit on the silver screen.
The yellow suit is something that fans have clamored to see for years. It was sarcastically referenced in the very first X-Men movie all the way back in 2000, and a deleted scene from 2013's The Wolverine showed the titular badass finally receiving the suit for the very first time. Unfortunately, going into Days of Future Past nothing ever really came of it, and we've been left wondering whether or not Jackman would ever actually wear the suit before retiring. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.
What do you think? Do you want to see Jackman don the classic suit before he hangs up his claws for good, or do you think that the yellow outfit is too outlandish for a movie as serious and grounded as Logan? Let us now what you think in the comments section below!
CinemaBlend will bring you more information concerning the release of Logan as more updates are made available to us. Hugh Jackman's final solo movie as the fan-favorite X-Man will hit theaters on March 3.
