See What Rosario Dawson Would Look Like As Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano

The Star Wars galaxy us an enormous place, and some of the coolest characters in the entire Star Wars mythos do not even come from the movies. One of the biggest fan-favorite characters in the whole Star Wars lore is Anakin Skywalker's former apprentice Ahsoka Tano, and Daredevil actress Rosario Dawson recently made waves when she admitted that she wanted to play the character in live-action. As it turns out, the internet heard her request, and a mock-up of Dawson as the legendary Jedi has just surfaced online. Check it out below to see for yourself.

If that fan mock-up of Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano (which comes to us courtesy of the BossLogic Twitter account) doesn't convince you that she's perfect for this role, then nothing will. All of the basic visual features of Ahsoka are certainly present in this photo, and a Star Wars movie would be hard-pressed to match how accurate this picture is to the actual character. I'm clearly onboard with this idea. What about you?

It is also worth noting that Rosario Dawson's age makes her ideally suited to play Ahsoka at arguably the most compelling time in her fictional biography. The character recently took a very dark turn in the Star Wars Rebels series and even faced off against her former master in a brutal lightsaber battle that rivaled anything we have seen in the films. If the Star Wars movies eventually decide to bring Ahsoka into the fold, then seeing her during the heyday of Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire could be the right creative decision.

Still not convinced? Just look at that awesome fight scene from Star Wars Rebels.

Bringing a character like Ahsoka into live-action now seems more probable and plausible than ever. With the introduction of Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the barrier between the live-action films and the expanded Star Wars universe has become more porous than ever. Ahsoka has become iconic from recent Star Wars mythology, so seeing her make her way to the silver screen with such a talented actress in the role would be a dream come true for longtime fans of George Lucas' galaxy far, far away.

At this point, we have no idea whether or not Rosario Dawson will get the chance of play Ahsoka in a Star Wars movie. That said, it's an excellent idea, and the folks at Lucasfilm should seriously take it under advisement.

The Star Wars saga will continue when Star Wars: The Last Jedi debuts in theaters on December 15, 2017.
