Batman’s Justice League Batmobile Is Going To Have So Many New Weapons, See The Photo
Batman's car got pretty well thrashed during the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. So, what's a billionaire to do when his car gets totaled? Upgrade, of course. Batman has a new Batmobile in Justice League and it looks ready for anything. Director Zack Snyder let a new image of the new car online and it is armed to teeth and set to blow up pretty much anything.
Needless to say, if you had a problem with the number of guns at Batman's disposal in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the new Batmobile is not going to make you feel any better about the situation. The new Batmobile has lots of guns. Also, because this is a movie, we can rest assured that if they bothered to put all these guns on the car, then there are going to be plans to use them.
The image comes from Zack Snyder's Vero account which was grabbed by The Hollywood Reporter. Snyder has been using the account to tease the occasional image from theJustice League production over the last several months. Previously, it's been used to give us fresh looks as Aquaman but now the focus has shifted to the caped crusader.
The new Batmobile appears to have a pair of machine guns, one on either side of the car, along with what appears to be a small missile launcher on the front. There's another larger gun mounted on the hood that looks big enough to fire mortar shells. It seems clear that Batman wants to be ready for anything. After fighting Doomsday, Batman must have decided that he needed some bigger guns. Nevermind that bigger guns likely wouldn't have helped against the monster.
The new Batmobile will almost certainly be a controversial topic among some of the most passionate comic book fans. While many would agree that Ben Affleck's older, grizzled Batman was the highlight of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, many were unhappy with the character's tone. This version of Batman seemed willing to kill his enemies which had traditionally been a line the character would not cross. A Batmobile covered in big guns would seem to confirm that the attitude from the last film will not be changing in Justice League.
Of course, with Justice League seeing an attack on earth from other-worldly forces, it's maybe not surprising that Bruce Wayne would try to be ready for anything. When you have no idea what the capabilities and defenses of your adversary are going to be, it's probably best to get ready for anything. It's not like Bruce Wayne can't afford it.
