The Planet Where Thor Meets The Hulk In Ragnarok Sounds Like A Hell Hole
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an ever changing place. With each phase of films comes new and exciting heroes that will help expand the mythos of the universe. And although movies like Black Panther and Spider-Man: Homecoming are exciting, the original Marvel stars will always have a special place in our hearts (and wallets). With Thor: Ragnarok fast approaching, diehard MCU fans are thrilled to see the God of Thunder return to star in his threequel. Some new details have just been released, including more information about the planet where Hulk and Thor will reunite.
Entertainment Weekly just released a ton of new Thor: Ragnarok goodies, including the hero's sweet new haircut. The issue also mentions the crazypants planet where Thor and Hulk will team up, and it sounds like pure hell. Chris Hemsworth explained the planet Sakaar is
Now this certainly sounds intriguing. Looks like Thor is about to be served some humble pie while in Sakaar, and it will likely make for a thrilling moviegoing experience.
Sakaar sounds like the perfect place to reintroduce and properly utilize both Thor and Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok. The two Avengers are by far the most powerful entities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which explains why they were both absent during the events of Captain America: Civil War. But having these powerhouses now amongst company that is similarly strong should make for some insane action sequences. For the first time, both Thor and Hulk will be battling foes that are evenly matched, and they'll probably need some synergy to get out of Sakaar alive.
And with the Marvel Cinematic Universe becoming even more gargantuan with Avengers: Infinity War, perhaps Sakaar will come back into play after the events of Thor: Ragnarok. Infinity War is set to assemble just about every major character from the MCU, including the Guardians of the Galaxy. And with both space and magic on the table, it seems like just about every setting and character has the potential to make an appearance in the next Avengers movie. Perhaps Thanos will first conquer Sakaar and assemble its powerful miscreants as his own army of destruction.
Alternatively, Sakaar could end up destroyed by the end of Ragnarok's runtime. Considering that the movie's title teases the destruction of the world, it would stand to reason that Sakaar could pull an Alderaan and go boom.
Thor: Ragnarok will hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
