Thanos Won’t Be The Only Bad Guy In Avengers: Infinity War
The Avengers have faced off against some terrible foes over the course of the last few years, but they haven't seen anything quite like Thanos yet. Josh Brolin's Mad Titan will make his proper Marvel Cinematic Universe debut when The Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters next year, and it now sounds like he's bringing some friends to his assault on Earth as well. In fact, Kong: Skull Island actor Terry Notary recently opened up and admitted that he's actually portraying a henchman and right-hand man to Thanos during the events of Infinity War. Notary explained:
Although many of us had assumed that Thanos would arrive on Earth and take on The Avengers by himself for the most part (after all, he'll have the Infinity Gauntlet), it now seems that he's clearly going to bring some reinforcements to the party as well. While Terry Notary's recent comments to THR don't really give us much to go by, they definitely promise a large villain ensemble -- which is saying something when we consider the size of the film's hero roster.
There's currently very little evidence to determine the type of character that Notary will play when Infinity War finally debuts. On the one hand, he may be portraying a recast version of an existing bad guy (such as Red Skull or Abomination), but he could be playing an entirely different character as well. Marvel likes to keep its secrets, so we feel inclined to believe him when he says that the studio will have his head if he reveals too much.
This revelation also has us wondering about the other actors who are portraying Thanos' henchmen in Infinity War. One of the most exciting casting announcements that recently came out was the reveal that Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage will have a role in the upcoming Avengers movie. Many have speculated that Dinklage might portray Pip the Troll in the latest Avengers adventure, and Notary's confession that Thanos has three distinct henchmen lends credence to that possibility.
CinemaBlend will keep you up to date regarding any and all relevant updates related to The Avengers: Infinity War as new details become available to us. The film is currently set to hit theaters next year on May 5, 2018. You can now catch Terry Notary's motion capture work in Kong: Skull Island, which opens in theaters today.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue its cosmic expansion when James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 4. Check out a trailer for the highly anticipated sequel on the next page!
