9 Cool Things The Spider-Man Trailer Just Showed Marvel Fans

Well, look who came swinging by! Spider-Man: Homecoming is Spider-Man's first solo film as a member of the MCU, something that even just two years ago seemed impossible. But here we are and with a new trailer to boot. This is our biggest glimpse of the movie yet as we see tons of never before seen moments from the upcoming blockbuster. Here's the trailer one more time to help you refresh your memory.

Lots to digest for two minutes of footage! We've got new gadgets, plenty of action, teenage drama, stakes, and our best look yet at The Vulture in action. To make it easier for us all, we've collected some of the standout moments from the trailer and collected them here to break down. Here are the 9 coolest things we could find in the new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer.

Spider-Man's Homemade Suit

1. His Homemade Suit Is Back!

We first saw this suit briefly in Captain America: Civil War, before Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) gave Peter (Tom Holland) a serious upgrade. And then he just goes ahead and takes it back as Spidey is forced to wear his old hoodie and swim goggles again. Not exactly the gear you want when facing The Vulture (Michael Keaton).

Spidey's New Gadgets

2. He Has New Gadgets

We can see why Peter wasn't too thrilled about losing his new suit because it is riddled with Stark-powered gadgets. Not only does it have the previously seen Spider-Signal and web wings, but it appears like the suit's logo is some sort of autonomous drone. Can it help give Spidey a closer look at dangerous situations?

Iron Man New Suit

3. Iron Man Has A New Suit

Spider-Man isn't the only one with new swag. Iron Man's got a new suit too, this one with a lot more gray added to the mix. We don't know what its capabilities are, but it'll probably get a chance to show off with this next point.

Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr.

4. And Iron Man Helps At The Ferry Accident

If you were wondering how Spidey was going to get out of holding a ferry together all by himself, well...he doesn't. Iron Man show up to help push the boat back together with some help from some new fantastic technology. But man, Tony looks pissed at Peter.

Spider-Man Flying a Plane

5. Spidey Will Try To Steer An Airplane

Spider-Man doesn't have the most impressive superpowers, but that doesn't stop him from trying to do the impossible. The Homecoming trailer shows Spidey taking on his biggest challenge yet by trying to STEER AN AIRPLANE from the outside. And he's doing this in his homemade suit, too!

The Shocker

6. Shocker Punches Spider-Man Through A School Bus

Spider-Man doesn't just have to contend with The Vulture in Homecoming; he also has to worry about The Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine). We get a glimpse of a fight between the two as The Shocker proves he packs a punch by blasting Spider-Man through a school bus.

Peter Parker and Liz Allen

7. Peter Gets The Girl!

Here's something new for Spider-Man, he actually gets the girl! There's a brief shot of Peter about to get a kiss from Liz Allen (Laura Harrier) at a school dance (Homecoming, probably). It seems like Liz Allen is Peter's main love interest this time around, technically his first one ever from the comics.

Michael Keaton as The Vulture

8. Vulture Might Know Spider-Man's Secret Identity

There are several shots of Peter operating without his mask on while he does battle with Vulture. That, coupled with Vulture's familiar language when speaking to him, might signify that the villain learns his secret identity. That, or he just knows what Peter looks like but doesn't know his actual name.

Chris Evans as Captain America

9. Captain America Will Cameo (Sort Of)

Iron Man isn't the only Avenger who will be popping up in this movie. Captain America (Chris Evans) also has a fun cameo in the form of a video promoting high school fitness (which Steve would totally do). Side fact: He's in his The Avengers costume, meaning Cap filmed that video a few years ago in continuity.
