The Hitman’s Bodyguard Red-Band Trailer Features All The Samuel L. Jackson F-Bombs We Could Ever Want
Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are both talented actors with huge potty mouths. Their new movie The Hitman's Bodyguard seems tailor-made for the two actors, with both action and comedy galore. The brand new red band and probably NSFW trailer features all the f-bombs you can hope for, often in the form of Samuel L. Jackson hollering "motherfucker." It's mostly language, though, so if your boss is OK with profanity, give this one a shot.
We're introduced to the dynamics in The Hitman's Bodyguard right away, as Ryan Reynolds' character is looking to help a beleaguered Samuel L. Jackson, who says he will "bust a cap" in the younger man's ass. That pretty much fits the tone of the rest of this trailer, which also gives us a better indication of the overall plot of this flick. Reynolds is a "AAA rated" protection unit and he's been assigned to help Samuel L. Jackson work his way out of a bit of a pickle. Jackson's character, who is a famous hitman, finds this prospect hilarious, but does seemingly eventually accept Ryan Reynolds' help.
There's so many antics that have already been revealed with The Hitman's Bodyguard trailer, so it's not as if this movie is going to be all comedy. In fact, we get to see plenty of stunts, including the time Ryan Reynolds' character goes through a car windshield after an abrupt stop. Or the time when Samuel L. Jackson drops from a rooftop in a cringe-worthy way.
Although we don't get to see much footage beyond the two characters working together, there are a few other names in The Hitman's Bodyguard, including Salma Hayek, Gary Oldman and Elodie Yung. Queen of the South's Joaquim de Almeida is also involved in the flick. The Expendables 3 director Patrick Hughes is directing.
It feels like both actors were just in theaters, as Ryan Reynolds popped up in a teaser for Deadpool at the beginning of Logan and Samuel L. Jackson recently starred in Kong: Skull Island. Still, we won't have to wait for too long to see them back on the big screen. The Hitman's Bodyguard hits schedules in August of 2017.
