Colin Firth Shoots Down A Funny Rumor About His Kingsman 2 Role
The fact that Colin Firth is in Kingsman: The Golden Circle is definitely a surprise. After all, the guy didn't just die off screen in the first movie -- he was shot point blank right in the face. This would be an incident that most of us couldn't recover from, but Firth's Harry Hart managed to, and we recently had the chance to speak with him about his why he's back in Kingsman 2. Said Firth,
Colin Firth was down at San Diego Comic-Con this morning for the Kingsman: The Golden Circle presentation in Hall H, and while the actor couldn't say much about his role in the sequel while on stage, we managed to learn a bit about him while speaking to him on a press line after. The panel. We asked the actor about the teases that we've seen for his part in the movie, and he firmly confirmed that he is most absolutely not playing his own evil twin in the upcoming film.
So fans shouldn't be anticipating the big screen debut of Garry Hart, taking one possibility off the table -- but our curiosity is still piqued. How exactly does one survive getting shot right in the eye with a pistol? We do know that Colin Firth has a new look in Kingsman: The Golden Circle (sporting a spiffy new eyepatch), and he clearly hasn't traveled very far (it looks like he hasn't left Kentucky since we last saw him), but we're still anticipating the explanation for exactly how the hell he isn't dead.

We clearly still don't know how Harry Hart survived Kingsman: The Secret Service, and probably won't until the film is finally ready to hit the big screen... but the good news is that we don't have much longer to wait for it. Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which also stars Taron Egerton, Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and Pedro Pascal, will be in theaters on September 22nd.
