One Of Daniel Craig's Most Famous Bond Moments Was An Accident
Daniel Craig has been playing James Bond since 2006's Casino Royale began filming. It currently looks as if the actor will be back for the next movie, too, but we may never have thought of Craig as a sex symbol if it weren't for one accidental--and unintentionally iconic scene Daniel Craig filmed for Casino Royale. The actor has spoken out about the accidental beach scene that was plastered all over the promotional material for the movie in question, noting that the whole thing was a big accident. If not for the scene, we may never have seen Craig's Bond as quite so cool. He said:
So, there you have it. James Bond may have the muscles and the chiseled good looks to pull off James Bond, but deep inside he feels totally and utterly uncool. And even when he managed to look super cool in a swimsuit during a beach-oriented scene, it was all inadvertent. In fact, prior to this interview with Time Out, Daniel Craig has previously said that a sand shelf got in his way in the water, which is the only reason he traipsed out rather than swimming through as the script proposed. Whatever the exact reason for the walk on the beach, the end result was that it turned Daniel Craig into a sex symbol.
And after months and months of rumors related to the James Bond franchise, it finally looks as if we will be getting Daniel Craig back for one more go. This week, the James Bond franchise announced the next movie will be hitting theaters in 2019. And the New York Times first reported that Daniel Craig will be back for the next movie. While the studio hasn't confirmed, the next movie looks as if it is starting to be fleshed out, and with a returning cast.
The next, currently untitled, Bond feature just so happens to be the 25th movie in the franchise. And after Spectre reviews were mixed, we really hope the franchise has something special planned, especially given the fact that if Daniel Craig is coming back, it very well may be his last outing as the iconic character. We'll keep you updated as more details emerge. In the meantime, take a look what movies are headed to theaters, soon.
