One of the year's biggest releases is almost upon us, as Fifty Shades Freed finally hits theaters next month. After a tantric wait since last year's Fifty Shades Darker, the closing chapter in the trilogy arrives just in time for Valentine's Day. To stimulate everyone's excitement, a new trailer has been released that features all the extravagance, firearms, bondage and... car chases that you would expect from any great love story. It looks like this series will finally be getting some action in a different area. Take a peek below:
Right off the bat, this trailer shows us that Anastasia Steele will finally become Mrs. Grey, and boy, she seems just as excited to say her own name as to scream someone else's. Their relationship has had its share of ups and downs, and this position change is a huge one. But the undoubtedly lavish wedding is just the tip as the trailer gets more interesting from there. Lest you think that these two will settle down and become a boring married couple that only has sex on anniversaries and special occasions, this trailer assures us that won't be the case. Fifty Shades Freed will clearly be just as steamy and dominating as the films that came before it. Tying the knot means that in addition to the play room, Ana will get to have sex in a lot of other cool and fancy places.
In the trailer, we also see that even though she put a ring on it, Mrs. Grey will have to fight off thirsty temptresses throwing themselves at Christian. Arielle Kebbel's Gia Matteo tries to flirt with Christian using the potent aphrodisiac of stellar architectural design, and Anastasia shuts that down right away. But Fifty Shades Freed not only gives fans what they desire in the sex scene department, but it also gives them something new as this trilogy climaxes with a different kind of action. The bitter and creepy Jack Hyde returns to stalk and torment Ana and Christian, and very rudely interrupts all the sex they were having. Never one to be tied down, Ana looks like she will be getting her hands dirty by arming herself against Jack.
The real kicker in this trailer though is what happens at the end. After getting another good look at Ana's 'O' face, the title card appears and then we get to see Ana's 'Oh shit" face when she learns that she is pregnant. That's one way to kill the mood. It remains to be seen how this news affects the Greys' new fast and furious lifestyle.
We can put this trilogy to bed when Fifty Shades Freed hits theaters on February 9. If the box office receipts of the two previous films are any indication, if you're in a relationship, you're probably going to see this on Valentine's Day. So plan accordingly.
