On the movie front, the beginning of the month brings some heavy hitters, such as Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas, Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Vol 1 and 2, and Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven trilogy. Or, if you're looking for fun of the more goofy variety, Men in Black and the first two American Pie movies are available for viewing as well. Rounding out this month's interesting assortment is the much maligned The Emoji Movie, which will assuredly satisfy the curiosity of many a Netflix subscriber.
Speaking of subscribers, this month's haul of Netflix original content looks terrific, with movies and episodic shows both being served rather well. At the top of the month, Altered Carbon's first season drops, just in time to feed everyone's Blade Runner 2049 hangover. Though if you're still up for futuristic thrills after that, Duncan Jones' Mute is finally debuting through Netflix towards the end of the month, so you may want to stagger your enjoyment of that previously named series accordingly. Back to the real world, we have a recent Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Film, Hungary's Of Body and Soul debuting just in time to start building some serious Oscar buzz.
This month also sees another episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman dropping, as George Clooney joins the talk show legend in a candid discussion. Not to mention, Joel McHale is about to Joel McHale himself into some Joel McHale antics with the debut of The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale. So if you're a Joel McHale fan, you might want to pencil that into your schedule. And last, but not least, DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge speeds towards its sixth season of family friendly thrills.
As usual, Netflix is ready to please its subscriber base with only the top tier of entertainment. But if you're interested to see what's been added in the past month, you can head over to our list of awesome titles that came to Netflix throughout January. Though if you were looking forward to a particular 2018 release that you don't see in the rotation, head over to our calendar of notable Netflix films for this year and beyond to confirm when such a title should be headed our way.

Passionate about entertainment since grade school, the movies have always held a special place in his life, which explains his current occupation. Mike graduated from Drew University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, but swore off of running for public office a long time ago. Mike's expertise ranges from James Bond to everything Alita, making for a brilliantly eclectic resume. He fights for the user.
