Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Super Bowl Trailer Is Scary, Cool, And Has A New Dinosaur
There are a lot of huge films set to arrive in theaters in 2018, but we expect few will reach the levels of J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Its predecessor set the world on fire back in 2015, setting box office records and becoming one of the most successful blockbusters of all time, and now the direct sequel is ready to follow suit. We got our first look at the summer movie back in December, but now the Super Bowl has provided us with some brand new footage:
Sporting an impressive cast that includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, James Cromwell, Toby Jones, and more, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will return audiences to the legendary Isla Nublar for some rather thrilling reasons. A major volcano on the island is about to explode, threatening the lives of all the rare creatures living there, so it becomes the responsibility of the heroes to travel to the former amusement park and rescue as many as they can.
The first Jurassic World introduced us to the idea of scientists fiddling around with dinosaur DNA and creating an entirely new species - but the sequel seems to be taking the same logical step with it that The Lost World did after Jurassic Park. Much like how Steven Spielberg's second movie in the franchise brought the Tyrannosaurus Rex from a far away island to modern civilization, it appears that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be doing the same with its new kind of dinosaur.
Right now there isn't a whole lot that we can say about the newly designed creature, as this new trailer doesn't even goes as far as to give it a name, but we do know a few things. We know that it has some seriously sharp talons, much like a Velociraptor, and also sports some serious looking teeth that looking ready to tear young children into pieces:
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is now just a few months away from release, set to come out on June 22nd, but the Super Bowl trailers are only just starting to roll out. Stay tuned here on CinemaBlend throughout the night to find all of the latest blockbuster previews that Hollywood has to offer!
