Deadpool's Valentine's Day Cards Are As Bonkers As You'd Expect
Today is Valentine's Day, but whether you're celebrating the occasion with your significant other or are on your own, I think we can all appreciate a good Valentine's Day card. Obviously such cards are meant to be romantic, but if they're also funny, that's even better. On the off chance you forgot or were unable to secure a Valentine's Day card, not to worry. Wade Wilson, a.k.a. Deadpool, has posted his own, and as one would expect from this loudmouthed buffoon, they have both humor and heart.
Starting off, Deadpool has plastered his own masked face on a card and made a delightful pun representing his undying love for The Golden Girls. If Bea Arthur were still alive, you can bet that Wade Wilson would ask her out on a date in a heartbeat; whether she would agree to this is an entirely different story. Moving to the second Valentine's Day card, we have Wade's buddy Dopinder, who represents the "crisp high five" that is the person who has our hearts. In case you haven't watched the first Deadpool movie in a while, Wade kept paying Dopinder for his cab rides with high fives rather than money. High fives don't help pay the rent, but they're nonetheless nice to get.
The third Deadpool-themed Valentine's Day card shows Blind Al alongside what first may look like gibberish, but really reveals "easy to see you are a cutie." Moving on, our final Valentine's Day card shows Zazie Beetz's Domino, with an actual sentimental message playing off her probabalilty-manipulating powers. It's charming, but isn't as funny as the other cards. Then again, since we haven't actually met Domino yet, I suppose we'll have to wait until after Deadpool 2 comes out to get some specific jabs against her on the Deadpool Twitter account.
This isn't the first time that Deadpool has provided some Valentine's Day assistance. Shortly before the Deadpool movie was released in 2016, the Merc with the Mouth posted a video explaining how to make the evening romantic, which included buying flowers, a nice dinner and tickets to his theatrical adventure. Deadpool 2 isn't arriving for another few months, but at least Wade Wilson set some time aside to help us before going on his Valentine's Day date with Vanessa. God knows what those kids are getting up to tonight.
Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18, and if you're interested in what other X-Men related projects are on the way, check out our handy guide. As for what other movies are coming out this year, that information is in our 2018 release schedule.
