Watch Kevin Hart Ad-Lib Funny Lines In Exclusive Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Clip
Jake Kasdan's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle ended up being the nostalgic sequel no one really knew they needed until they finally got it. We loved it, and audiences kept going back to the jungle romp again and again. The action comedy had incredible legs at the box office, banking a ridiculous $928 million at the global box. Insane. One reason for the movie's success had to be the cast's chemistry which is on display in this exclusive clip from the "Meet The Players" feature from the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Blu-ray and DVD. This segment focuses on all that Kevin Hart brings to the table.
The pairing of Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a no-brainer. We saw it on display in the comedy Central Intelligence, but adding the stylings of Jack Black and Karen Gillan led to a perfect foursome that brought new laughs and fresh life to the Jumanji concept. It seems to simple and obvious now, but asking these four actors to play totally against type because they are teenagers inhabiting the bodies of video game avatars was a stroke of genius, and the long-in-development sequel Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle benefitted from the chemistry in all of the best ways possible.
This clip, which is part of the new Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Blu-ray and DVD, also highlights how Kevin Hart will improvise inside of a scene, forcing Karen Gillan to react to whatever nonsense he's spouting or, as Jack Black confirms, step up his own game to make sure that he's as funny -- or funnier -- than his co-star.
Here's why you are going to want to pick up a copy of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, now that it is on home video. Depending on your preferred format, here are the extras that will accompany the movie:
You can download Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle on digital as we speak. The Blu-ray, DVD and 4K Ultra HD will be available on Tuesday, March 20.
