10 Avengers Team-Ups We Can’t Wait To See In Infinity War
At this point, it's no secret that Avengers: Infinity War will bring an entire army of fan-favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes and villains together for the very first time. The movie is shaping up to make history with its size and scope, and there are several elements of the tale that we can't wait to see play out on the big screen. Chief among these exciting possibilities is how certain characters will play off of each other when they finally meet.
That's the topic that we want to address. Knowing that Infinity War will see several notable characters come together, we want to go through some of the most intriguing team-ups and talk about the pairs that we want to see come together when the film's April 27 release date finally rolls around. On that note, let's kick things off by talking about two of the MCU's best fast-talking heroes.
Doctor Strange & Spider-Man
Two of the best heroes to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 3 were Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. They're two of the MCU's funniest heroes, and both of them know how to throw out a solid quip in the middle of combat. Having said that, Doctor Strange seems to have taken his new role as The Sorcerer Supreme incredibly seriously in the time since his solo movie debuted, and the most recent trailer for Avengers: Infinity War seems to promise that Peter Parker will have some fun by pointing out the sheer absurdity of Stephen Strange's superhero alter ego.
Star-Lord & Iron Man
When it comes to smartasses, no one can compete with Iron Man or Star-Lord. Having said that, they have never met each other before, which means Avengers: Infinity War will be the first time that either of these heroes has met someone with a similarly dry and sarcastic sense of humor. The most recent trailer for Infinity War has already shown us that Peter Quill won't take any of Tony Stark's crap when they get to work formulating a plan to take Thanos down, so now it's a matter of waiting to see if they can get over their rivalry when the battle kicks into high-gear.
Iron Man & Drax
While the interplay between Tony Stark and Peter Quill is one intriguing element of the Avengers: Infinity War ensemble, there's another member of the Guardians of the Galaxy team that we also want Iron Man to spend more time with. Drax the Destroyer has firmly established himself as a bit of a simpleton, and he's exactly the type of person who could get on the nerves of someone as intelligent and quick as Tony Stark. Given Tony's penchant for sarcasm and dry humor, something tells us that a bunch of his jokes will go over Drax's head. Now it's a matter of waiting to see if Drax can catch them.
Okoye & Black Widow
A brief scene in Captain America: Civil War showed us that Black Widow was not afraid of T'Challa's elite, chrome-domed bodyguards, but we still haven't seen Natasha Romanoff interact with someone as truly badass as Okoye yet. The rumors that we have heard about Avengers: Infinity War suggest that Okoye will not be particularly thrilled to see Earth's mightiest heroes enter Wakanda for the big showdown against Thanos, and Widow has never been one to shy away from a confrontation with someone. There could be friction between them, but that could make for some seriously awesome drama between the major action sequences.
Shuri & Spider-Man
Tom Holland recently addressed the possibility of Spider-Man and Shuri meeting one another in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and there's no better time to make that a reality than a crossover like Avengers: Infinity War. The two teenage heroes both have affinities for advanced technology and science, and it would almost certainly be a treat the watch the endlessly awkward Peter Parker attempt to impress the charming and badass younger sister of T'Challa in her workshop. We don't actually know if these two will meet in Avengers: Infinity War, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a perfect pairing that we would love to see.

Black Panther & Captain America
Captain America and Black Panther have come a long way since trying to kill each other during the events of Captain America: Civil War. They are two of the most honor-bound heroes in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, and their respective knacks for hand-to-hand combat make them very similar in terms of fighting style and worldview. It looks like they will have strong partnership during the Battle of Wakanda in Avengers: Infinity War, and we want to see how two master tacticians work together to lead an army against The Mad Titan and his hordes of alien minions.
War Machine & Falcon
War Machine and Falcon serve very similar roles on The Avengers roster. They're both highly-skilled pilots who use advanced rigs to achieve air superiority for Earth's mightiest heroes, and they're also the best friends of the two main heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, there's one rift that exists between them: the blast from Vision that paralyzed War Machine in Captain America: Civil War was meant for Falcon. Given that dramatic event, it will prove incredibly interesting to see how that affects their dynamic. Does Sam blame himself for what happened? Does Rhodey harbor resentment? We want to know.
Hulk & Teen Groot
The Incredible Hulk and Groot are two of the least intelligent and least articulate heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe roster. However, they are also two of the most durable and powerful heroes in the MCU as well, and that combination of low IQ and high strength levels could make for some seriously exciting action sequences and hilarious dialogue scenes. As of right now, we haven't seen any real hunts to suggest that they will spend a substantial amount of time together, but our hope remains high that we will see a solid back and forth between these dim-witted heroes.
Falcon & White Wolf
One of the most unexpectedly delightful things to come out of 2016's Captain America: Civil War (as serious and stern as that movie was) was the buddy dynamic between Falcon and The Winter Soldier. They do not love each other (which makes sense, considering they have tried to kill each other), but they work together because of their shared bond over Steve Rogers. Now, with Bucky in his new role as The White Wolf, it looks like they will have to once again work together in the Battle for Wakanda. Let's hope that there's a small car for them to ride in again.
Rocket, Teen Groot, & Thor
With the release of Thor: Ragnarok last year, Chris Hemsworth proved that he could do some great things in the comedy realm by embracing Thor's inherent absurdity. Now, it looks like Avengers: Infinity War will take full advantage of that by teaming him up with Rocket Raccoon and Teen Groot as they venture off into the cosmos -- presumably to help Thor get his hands on a brand-new weapon. Groot, Thor, and Rocket are three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's funniest characters (all for different reasons), so we can't wait to see how the comedic DNA intermingles on the big screen.
