Kevin Hart And Tiffany Haddish’s Night School Trailer Is Hilarious And Absurd
We've known for a while that Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish would be teaming up for a brand new comedy about a group of individuals trying to pass the GED. Malcolm D. Lee, who also directed Girls Trip, is directing the movie, to give you an idea of tone. You can take a look at the amusing new trailer for the upcoming flick, below.
In Night School, Kevin Hart plays a promising salesperson whose life seems to be pretty great, when a gas explosion sets him off track. (And yes, there's a fart joke.) He ends up deciding to become a stockbroker, but there's one hitch: He never finished high school. In order to achieve greater heights, he needs to get his GED so he can get a better job and a better life. At adult school, he meets Tiffany Haddish's character, who believes him to be clinically dumb and incapable of finishing school. Shenanigans presumably ensue.
Tiffany Haddish is on a roll. Previously known for TV work like Real Husbands of Hollywood and The Carmichael Show, following her casting in Girls Trip, she took pop culture by storm. Her repeat wearing of the same designer dress and her other red carpet appearances have been notable more recently. Plus, Night School is just one of a slew of projects she has coming up, which also includes Uncle Drew, The Lego Movie 2, and the TV series The Last O.G..
Both Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart were friends prior to working together on Night School. Hart knew Haddish during their time on the stand-up comedy scene. Both actors have spoken out about how Hart helped Haddish when she was homeless and living out of her car, trying to make comedy happen. He even loaned her $300 bucks, and spoke out about the experience today on Instagram as part of the promotion of Night School, saying,
Night School is expected to hit theaters this coming September -- on September 28 to be exact -- so we have quite a few more months to wait before the movie is officially out. In the meantime, you can see what is heading into theaters this spring and summer with our movie premiere schedule.
