Watch Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt And More Avengers Read Mean Tweets About Themselves
Based on the box office response, you'd think that pretty much everybody loves the Avengers. As it turns out, that's not entirely true, as many on social media seem to love to bash the actors that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last night, as part of Jimmy Kimmel Live 's regular Mean Tweets segment, he brought in several of the stars of Avengers: Infinity War to read the terrible things people say about them. Check it out.
People may still love the Avengers, but a lot of people seem to take issue with the people who play them. Most of these comments are really just harsh critiques of the physical appearance of the actors. Somebody thinks Don Cheadle is part muskrat and that Sebastian Stan looks like a potato. At least in the case of Elizabeth Olson's weird thumbs, the actress confirms that the statement is actually true, which makes it feel a bit less cruel.
If there's one comment at the expense of how somebody looks that is at least interesting and creative, it's the one that claims that Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch always looks like he's eaten bad shrimp. The actor at least thinks its funny as he laughs all the way through it.
Some of the harshest words are left for Dave Bautista by a Twitter user who has nothing good to say about the may in any way. For what it's worth, the fact that the username is wehatedbatista would seem to confirm that the person using the handle has taken issue with the man since back in his WWE days. Clearly, there's a grudge.
The harshest stab may be at Ant-Man Paul Rudd. His particular mean tweet doesn't just take a shot at him, but anybody in the world who might find him attractive.
The single funniest swipe, however, is probably the one aimed at Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman. The comment starts out being about as complimentary as possible, calling Boseman the "coolest blackest dude in the galaxy," which is quite possibly true, but thinks that the name Chadwick doesn't quite fit with that.
Being famous always brings the haters to one degree or another and so it's likely all of the Avengers: Infinity War actors are used to hearing these sorts of things. The fact that they're in a massive cinematic hit right now probably also softens the blow. Each of them does a fantastic job in Avengers: Infinity War.
