First Look At Michael B. Jordan In Creed 2
It's been three years since Michael B. Jordan and co. first introduced us to Adonis Johnson, and fans have been getting pumped for the sequel as Jordan has gotten himself into boxing shape. The movie is one of the most heavily anticipated flicks of 2018, and while we're waiting on the first look trailer, Warner Bros. and MGM have given us the first look at Michael B. Jordan in Creed II. Take a look.
Between Black Panther and the upcoming Creed II, Michael B. Jordan has spent a lot of time filming movies while shirtless lately. Not that I'm complaining. If you spend all that time kicking ass and getting into the best shape of your life, you might as well show it off. Indeed, being shirtless is pretty inherent to boxing, so it would be almost weirder if Adonis were in street clothes, here.
We may still be waiting on actual footage for Creed II, but there are already a few reasons to get excited about the sequel. The script for the new movie calls for Apollo Creed's son, Adonis, to face Ivan Drago's son, Viktor Drago, in the ring. Those familiar with the Rocky franchise know that it was Ivan Drago who killed Apollo Creed in the ring decades ago, so this showdown should connect to Rocky IV and be an eventful one. We already knew that Dolph Lundgren would return to the franchise for the gig, and Florian Munteanu had signed on to play his son in the film.
Just a few months ago, Sylvester Stallone backed out of directing Creed II, bringing in Steven Caple Jr. as a replacement director. Production went on as expected and Stallone has continued to spend time on social media getting fans pumped for the sequel. Most recently, he said we could expect this first poster along with the first trailer for the movie this week. So, there's only more to come in regards to the franchise.
Creed II is expected to officially hit theaters on November 21, 2018. That's a few months off, but if you'd like to know more about the movie in advance, we have you covered.
