Due to it having been such a huge movie with over twenty characters, not everybody got to hang out with each other in Avengers: Infinity War. Chadwick Boseman, who plays Black Panther in the film, may not have gotten to have any interaction with Rocket Raccoon, but he did get the next best thing: a selfie! Boseman recently posted a selfie of himself and the Rocket stand-in puppet to his Instagram page. He tagged Chris Pratt in the post, and now the Guardians of the Galaxy actor has given his pitch-perfect response to the image.
In a post to Instagram that involved a pic with Rocket, Chadwick Boseman wrote to Chris Pratt that he should "come get your boy." Seldom one to ignore a call from the internet, Pratt responded to the image on Twitter, writing that Boseman should watch out for Rocket's hands because a "selfie" means something entirely different on his planet. Obviously, that's a great Chris Pratt-type response, and it's not even that far off base if you think about it. After all, Rocket did keep a robotic eye up his butt and apparently never washed it.
That's a very fun response, and it just makes us all the more anxious for Chris Pratt to return as Star-Lord in the MCU. At the moment, people are kind of still mad at Star-Lord for certain action he takes in Avengers: Infinity War, but time heals all wounds -- even ones caused by Thanos. In the meantime, it's not super clear if Peter Quill will be showing up in Avengers 4, but I would wager that he will be making an appearance before the credits roll.
After that, it's off to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will see the end of this iteration of the team and help set the course for the rest of the Marvel Cosmic Universe. James Gunn just recently completed the first draft of the script for the movie. Not too much is known about Vol. 3 at the moment, but we do know that it will take place after Infinity War, so Vol. 3 will perhaps be dealing with some of the fallout from that blockbuster.
You can presumably see the Guardians next in Avengers 4, which is due to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2019, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which does not currently have a release date. Because Avengers 4 is a bit sooner down the pipeline, here is everything we know so far about the Phase 3 closer.
