You Can Use Your Alexa To Unlock Cool Hotel Transylvania 3 Content
The Hotel Transylvania crew is about to leave their humble abode and take the road on the show. Well, OK, fine. Not exactly the "road." More like the sea. In the third chapter of the wildly successful animated series, Dracula (Adam Sandler), Mavis (Selena Gomez), Griffin (David Spade), Frank (Kevin James) and the rest of the haunted crew are taking a vacation aboard a legendary ocean liner. Things can only go horribly. Now, though, if you own an Alexa, you can take this story outside of the theater and into your home! Here's how.
Beginning today, Alexa customers and their families can enjoy summer bedtime stories voiced by their favorite Hotel Transylvania actors including Andy Samberg (Johnny), Steve Buscemi (Wayne the werewolf), Keegan-Michael Key (Murray the mummy), Fran Drescher (Eunice), and Asher Blinkoff (Dennis). A new story, nursery rhyme, or joke read by the popular cast will be available every day through Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation's nationwide release on July 13.
There are several different ways for Alexa customers to trigger the stories, jokes and original songs tied to the movie, but the process has to begin with a parent saying, "Alexa, open Hotel Transylvania."
From there, Sony has alerted CinemaBlend to a few of the unique commands that a family can give to the Alexa to trigger exclusive Hotel Transylvania content. They include:
In addition to bedtime stories, customers can also set up a custom Hotel Transylvania alarm for Alexa through the Amazon Alexa app. We tested the new technology out, and it looked like this!
Commenting on the announcement, Elias Plishner, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Digital Marketing, Sony Pictures Entertainment, said:
So far, the Hotel Transylvania movies have earned an impressive $833 million dollars globally, with the second movie outearning the first film. That bodes well for Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, as the fanbase has grown over the years with new audience members finding the first two stories on DVD and streaming. Play with the Alexa with your friends and family, and grab your tickets for Summer Vacation, which will open in theaters everywhere on July 13.
