The Rock Reveals State Of Feud With Tyrese Gibson
Sure, the Fast and Furious franchise might lean heavily on the notion of family, but there has been some drama behind the scenes that has driven some rifts between key players in the series. Perhaps most notably, the franchise made headlines when feud surfaced between The Rock and Tyrese Gibson ahead of the release of The Fate of the Furious last year. We haven't heard much about the dispute since then, but The Rock recently addressed the beef between the men to explain that it was more one-sided than some had thought. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Rock explained:
The whole thing began last year when Tyrese Gibson started going on rants about The Rock on social media and calling out his co-star for a variety of reasons. This also led to Gibson cropping The Rock out of photos and threatening to quit the franchise if The Rock appeared in the ninth installment. However, as The Rock noted in his own comments on the issue, Gibson was going through personal problems at the time, and the two haven't talked at all, and The Rock doesn't see any reason to put those conversations into motion.

With all of that said, it looks like everyone seems to have gone to their respective corners now. The Rock is currently getting ready for is own Fast and Furious spinoff alongside Jason Statham, while Tyrese Gibson will presumably return to the main franchise for Fast and Furious 9 and Fast and Furious 10 if everything lines up.
As always, CinemaBlend will bring you more information related to all of the films in the Fast and Furious franchise as they become available to us. With that in mind, the next installment in the series will be the Hobbs & Shaw spinoff, which is set to hit theaters on August 2, 2019!
For now, you can also catch The Rock in Skyscraper, which is currently in theaters.
