Ryan Reynolds And Michael Bay’s Six Underground Has Assembled Its Main Cast
While Ryan Reynolds seems to be spending most of his free time inside a Deadpool costume these days, he does, on occasion, make other movies, and one of them is building a very strong cast. It was recently announced that Reynolds would star in Six Underground, a new project for Netflix being directed by the one and only Michael Bay. While little is known about the film itself, we do now know the names of several great actors who will be joining Reynolds on screen.
Dave Franco, who is the first name revealed by Variety, recently starred alongside his brother James in the Oscar-nominated The Disaster Artist, but he's also had roles in everything from The LEGO Ninjago Movie to the Now You See Me heist films. He'll be seen later this year in If Beale Street Could Talk as well as the upcoming Zeroville, the next feature being directed by aforementioned brother James Franco.
Adria Arjona is a relative newcomer to Hollywood, but she made a splash early thanks to a role on HBO's True Detectives. Mose recently, she was seen in James Gunn's The Belko Experiment, Pacific Rim: Uprising and the Melissa McCarthy comedy Life of the Party. She's also a credited voice in Fortnite the hottest video game of the moment. In addition to Six Underground, she'll also be seen in the upcoming adaptation of the Neil Gaiman Terry Pratchett book Good Omens.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo has recently been seen as one of Denzel Washington's posse in the recent remake of The Magnificent Seven as well as the Kenneth Branaugh led Murder on the Orient Express and, most recently, Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Those first two films are very much ensemble features and if Six Underground is as well, which this cast list is certainly making it sound like, he should fit in here just as well.
Finally, the last name on the list of the additions to Six Underground is Corey Hawkins. Hawkins received a lot of notice from audiences and critics following his performance as Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton. Since then he's appeared in Kong: Skull Island and the attempted reboot of the TV series 24. He'll next be seen in Spike Lee's upcoming film BlacKkKlansman.
While there's a lot we still don't know about Six Underground it does appear to be putting together an impressive cast.
