Marvel’s Sebastian Stan Reveals His Favorite Line Of Dialogue As The Winter Soldier
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is having a seriously strong year, with Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and The Wasp all being met with box office and critical acclaim. The massive shared universe also celebrated its tenth year of existence, with both the audience and the Marvel family reminiscing about the last decade of filmmaking. This includes Sebastian Stan, who has been playing Bucky Barnes/ The Winter Soldier/ The White Wolf since 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger. Given his tenure in the MCU, Stan has gotten to utter some truly badass lines. But there's one bit of dialogue that is his favorite, and it's from The Russo Brothers' Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Yeah, this was a solid choice. With one line, the truth about Bucky/ The Winter Soldier came out, and it became clear to Steve Rogers (and the fans) that Captain America's best friend was no longer in the building. It was a stark narrative contrast from The First Avenger, and essentially started the Russo Brothers' domination of the MCU.
Sebastian Stan's comments to Earth's Mightiest Show should be no surprise, given that his character was able to massively change during Winter Soldier. While he was a loyal friend to Steve during the first Captain America movie, Bucky presumably died during the film's final conflict. But when Cap and Black Widow encountered the mysterious Winter Soldier, they were shocked to see that Bucky was back from the dead, a super killer, and rocking a sweet metal arm.
You can check out the epic scene below, with Sebastian Stan uttering his favorite line of dialogue toward the end of the epic action sequence.
Seriously, that was one mic drop moment. And since Bucky Barnes doesn't get to banter and enjoy comedic moments much, he didn't have any funny quotes to choose from. The Winter Soldier is a man of little words, but when he does open his mouth, it's epic and badass.
Bucky did get some cool lines during Avengers: Infinity War, as he was shown completely free of the mind control that dictated his actions in his previous two appearances. He got to banter with both Captain America and Rocket Raccoon, before Thanos snapped his fingers and took away everything we loved.
Avengers: Infinity War is available for digital release now, and Blu-ray will arrive on August 14th. In the meantime, check out our 2018 release list to plan your next trip to the movies.
