See What Norman Reedus Would Look Like As Marvel’s Ghost Rider

It's no secret that actors who appear in one comic book-inspired property can move on to another. Just look at guys like Chris Evans and Ben Affleck. With that in mind, The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus recently made headlines by admitting that he would want to portray Ghost Rider. The internet exploded at that seemingly no-brainer revelation, and now a new piece of fan art has hit the web showing what Reedus could look like in the role. Check it out, below!

That's a Reddit image that should get Ghost Rider fans very excited and intrigued. Though there's currently no word to suggest that Norman Reedus will actually play Johnny Blaze at some point, that picture showcasing him with the flaming skull pretty much perfectly captures the essence of the character. He's badass, anti-authority, dark and downright cool. Moreover, as Norman Reedus is already a huge fan of motorcycles and the motorcycle world, casting him as Johnny Blaze seems like a match made in heaven (or hell).

At this point, we should note that the Marvel Cinematic Universe does already have a Ghost Rider in its ranks. The Robbie Reyes incarnation of the hero premiered during Season 4 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., thus establishing a precedent for Ghost Rider in the Marvel world -- even if the TV properties haven't really crossed over with the film properties in quite a while.

As a heroic mantle passed down from person to person, it's not outside the realm of possibility to imagine that the Johnny Blaze version of the character could show up in the film world at some point. Considering the recent rumors that Marvel has even toyed with the idea of bringing Blade into the MCU as well, it would make sense to get another badass, supernatural anti-hero in on the action when Phase 3 ends. Besides, pretty much anything has to be better than the version of Johnny Blaze played by Nicolas Cage in Ghost Rider and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

Only time will tell if the Marvel Cinematic Universe will ever bring another Ghost Rider into the fold -- let alone cast Norman Reedus as the hero. Until we learn more about what Marvel plans to do with the character (as well as what Norman Reedus plans to do when he's not working over at AMC), you can head over to our movie premiere guide to read up on all of the films that will premiere before the end of 2018!
